GP Patient Ratios in England Aren't Changing at All
Every GP in England is responsible for 7% more patients on average now compared with 2018. That's because the population is rising and the GP workforce is heading in the opposite direction. But as we've talked about previously, the change isn't uniform across the country. Some areas are gaining patients faster than others or losing doctors faster than others. The ONS also looks at how GP patient ratios vary according to the age and male-female balance in practice.
