The Riparian Elite of Sudan

Sudan used to be the third biggest country in Africa, but that was before South Sudan withdrew. What's left of Sudan now is mainly a string of cities along the Nile and it can be referred to as a riparian elite running the country. The most important thing that happened to this part of Sudan after the horrific wars in South Sudan was the Darfur breakup.
