We Trust People, We Trust Our Children
We don't want our children to hurt each other, but the way that we respond to that physicality with children is going to set a tone. We can't base our emotional life on what's going on with our children or we'll be exhausted and projecting that we aren't comfortable as leaders. That actually makes these kinds of conflicts a lot worse. This calmer, more minimally interventionist tone gives children a sense that we trust them overall.
