Bobby Kennedy's Transformation in the Presidency
I think Bobby Kennedy was on a pathway to becoming a more liberal person and would have brought those ideas into the presidency in in 68 if that had happened. It's hard to be transformational as president. You have a very limited term. We have a separation of powers, but you would agree that FDR was transformational. And even when the Supreme Court was somewhat less than cooperative in the early years, he kind of first he tried to expand it, then he browbeat them until they were more supportive of it.
