In contemporary philosophy of religion, definitions of omnipotence are not given in terms of strict logical possibility and impossibility. I recognize that contemporary Christian philosophers have done a lot of valuable work in trying to rehabilitate theism from a philosophical perspective. But any understanding of God's omnipotence that waters it down and says there are things that God can't do is something that I would regard as departing from classical theism.
