The Importance of Fairness in Sport

I presented a case to him that I thought he couldn't bite the bullets on this, but he did. He said just because there's an inordinate advantage for one side doesn't make it less valuable and people might love watching it. So fair sport is not the same as dominant sport. Fairness and non-domination come apart. It could be very exciting competitive sport with a David and Goliath element in it. But occasionally, you know, the underdog wins - like what we go, wow, unbelievable. And then there'll be a question of 'what makes it fair? No one can say everybody is subject to the same rules of the game'
