Dance and African Art in Motion
Dance was my way of being able to step into these spaces of women's leadership and allow them to lead and teach me. So many of the women that I work with, they don't speak French or English,. They don't write in ewe, they speak ewe, and they perform. So these women still have histories. And these histories are still essential to understanding the slave trade holistically.
