When to Pick the Largest Contentful Paint
Google modified the el c p metric to ignore full, full viewport images. So if an image coverd the entire viewport, they would actually ignore it. When you say largest, you're saying, by real estate on my page. Although in the case of images, they also like factor in the image quality. And that's kind of one of the problems with elc p.
