CNN's John Sutter sits down with Dr. Eric Schmitz to talk about the first time he met him and his work in an emergency department. He recalls a case that was almost the very first case of the day, which was a person involved in a bike accident who had some pretty serious trauma. "It was just kind of a bizarre way to start your career where you're working," says Schmitz.
