Is Your Product Relevant to the Right People?
It doesn't make sense to build something and then go out and test it with people that are not even part of the target audience. That's why it's so important to understand the problem space because that's the interesting thing. If they don't have this problem, they won't care about your product. It's that simple. Everyone should have that kind of understanding in order to craft the right marketing messages.
