The Key to Healthy Aging Is Diversity in the Microbiota

The key to healthy agint there are obviously many, many variables. But it is imperative that one retains diversity in the microbior if one loses it, frailty follows rapidly from that. If you look at elderly people in their mid is who are healthy and who are reasonably fit, their microbiola is the same as a 30 year old. When they're unhealthy and approaching frailty, they are losing diversity in themicrobiola. So really, you know, we all want to age in a healthy way - no one wants to end up demented or very frail.
