The Importance of Assessment and Workup for Patients With ACS
Some of the treatments we'll be discussing for patients with ACS can have a huge impact on morbidity and mortality. We're going to go into some of the magnitude of how effective some of these treatments are in a bit. The assessment and workup isn't actually as simple as you might think. And because it's not simple, we often worry about not only missing it, but also with so many referrals that we seem to make with suspected acute coronary syndrome patients. But putting patients on that pathway has its own risks. It is really about being astute and making good decisions, not just easy decisions.
