The State of Florida v. Reading Creek Improvement District
The Magic Kingdom is located on 25,000 acres in Orange and Osceola counties. In 1967, the state of Florida gave Disney a really high level of control over the land through something called the really Creek Improvement District. Immediately after it was formed, the really Creek RCID issued $12 million in local bonds to drain the swamp.
