What Is a Medical Termination?
Melanie sent in her abortion story to see how it might differ from some of the experiences of people in the US. She found out she was pregnant when she was around four and a half weeks. A medical termination is when you take medication that stops the production of the hormone required to continue pregnancy. Then 36 hours later you have other pills which start the contractions to stimulate the abortion essentially. The procedure cost I think around $550 Australian which I think is around 370 US.
