Timothy Stanley: My work in progress is like a marriage plot. I wondered, did you pull anything from those parts of this story? That sort of helped you when you're thinking about the marriage plot for your own story. He says he wrote 42,000 words over eight weeks and it does not work. The wife character in the story is too perfect. She's one dimensional. You have to make give her a flaw. And so Sean was like, "You got a good ball of clay here"
