How to Structure a Deal Like This

When you're putting a deal together, are all of these people materially involved in the success of this deal? And it makes it a lot easier to structure a deal like that. We used to not do preferred returns at all. I miss those days because I prefer return. But we have a lot of deals that have preferred returns. It was actually put into deals by those that were doing developments and stuff like that. They injected multifamily as a derivative of things that weren't multi-family.
