Common Practices With Wide Reaching Effects
Downs: I'm trying to decide if there's a generalizable learning point for this because not everyone is getting this kind of harm. She had multiple procedures because of FFP, not just the weekly Thora and Para, but the plural catheter too. It makes me wonder how many other similar instances there are out there of things that are common practice, but could be causing our patient's harm. Downs: We need to rely on these common practices sometimes because it is simply not possible to make it through your workday questioning everything.
