The Key to Song Writing

i've been re learning music theory, especially with piano. Song writing as a process takes a long time because i'm ssinging around with cards. But watching someone messing around with cards isn't particularly entertaining to watch. So i have to write songs, but also make it entertaining,. two right songs, which is something new. And the key to that is, how can i to the best cords as quick as possible?
