Using Predictive Systems to Build a Competitive Edge
It seems like a lot of the ideas at work were coming to the fore in were built on a foundational set of academic research that was five decades old, but was simply too computationally intensive and expensive to run. The reality is we had to have a really strong commercial imperative. And that commercial imperative wasn't going to be there until we could run it on commercial and industrial scale data. That's what we start ed being able to do. It's still really hard, but the fact is, it's more and more valuable every day.
