The Rise and Fall of Maybelline

Berry was never a consistent chart success. He did significantly less well than his reputation in rock and roll history would suggest, but he notched several top ten hits on the pop charts. Maybelline did so well that even wee wee hours released as the B side went to number ten on the R&B charts. His next single was a Maybelline sounder-like, 30 days. It's a great track, but it didn't do quite so well on the charts.
