CHAPTER

The Importance of Media in the Cultural Revolution

The goal of the media as a cultural production item would be to frame out the set and setting for culture so that it can be turned into a revolutionary force. Film became the medium for telling those stories through the 20th century. Television became the medium even further as the cable era came into being. Having those institutions to set, I've never done acid myself, but there's a lot of people who talk about set and setting. It's an inverse of what's really going on when you're talking about setting and setting in a hallucinogenic kind of frame or whatever.
