We seem to be moving into an era of... It's like a cafeteria style reality where you can just pick the elements of the reality you'd like to live in. I mean, obviously seeing this on huge political levels but it also goes down to these weird personal levels. But I don't understand how it becomes a mass thing. That whole idea of a kind of ... Isn't that what a meme originally was? isn't that the original definition of a meme? Yeah. Richard Dawkins had this idea. Like you have a gene that spreads through the population. The meme originally was like a cultural gene. And then it becomes like a virus and it spreads through the whole population. Right.
