How to Define the Explosion
The second technique that I really love is defining the explosion. What you see, what you hear, what you feel, smell, and taste is the only thing that's happening. And then from that secure foundation of the present moment, you can also notice I'm having a thought about something that isn't actually happening right now. When you do that, you kind of take the power away from the thoughts as opposed to going down that water slide of, oh my God, this thing could happen and it's probably true.
