In France people are a lot more direct and so they will quite comfortably tell people how they feel. In England it's kind of awkward and uncomfortable to be so direct but if you live like that in France in this culture then life would just be too difficult all the time. So what happens is I've learned to adopt a slightly more French approach. You learn to just sort of relax to argue with people to tell people how you feel don't be worried about causing a fuss, says Luke from Luke's English podcast.
