The Light Is in the Dark
We often forget that light was precious in ancient times. Our ancestors could not turn on a switch and suddenly have electric powered lights. In order to have light, they either had to wait for the sun to rise, or they had to gather, prepare, and then burn away limited fuel sources. It's in the light that animals roam freely, humans can work and grow, communities are formed, and health is restored. The darkness means death and ignorance.
