The love and passion you're going to give that story is what will cause your readers to love it. We have more opportunities now than ever to be able to market directly to our readers, reach our readers in really meaningful ways. There's absolutely no reason to believe that they wouldn't absolutely love your work too. So yeah, trust your gut and rely on your own instincts. And just write what you want to read.
