Ali Velshi: The start of the 118th Congress was delayed by a prolonged battle amongst House Republicans over who would be elected speaker. He says Kevin McCarthy had to make concessions in exchange for their votes, including promises about committee assignments. Some of the 21 members who initially voted against McCarthy as speaker have already been appointed to plumb positions on key committees. Ali asks Representative Stacey Plaskett what government oversight means in the new Republican-led House and how she plans to counter GOP attacks.
