Croatia is one of the sunniest places in Europe. But it's still heavily dependent on fossil fuel, which makes up some 40% of its electricity needs. As climate change related drought increases, hydropower cannot keep up with demand. So why is there so little solar power in a country that enjoys 2700 hours of sun each year? That's 112 days of non-sub-sunshine day and night. Some Croatians want to bring more solar energy to the country. And one island is particularly eager, as Jennifer Collins finds out.
