The Biggest Difference Between China and the Soviet Union
The biggest difference, i think, is a, you didn't have such a stake in soviet economic interests. And that's very differet from the sove union. We have no economic relationship really, that affected average americans. I don't know that china buying of agricultural products from the united states is necessarily a point of strategic vulnerability for us. But none the less, there's a lot of aspects of the economic relationship that aren't particularly sensitive and don't require broadde coupling.
