The Image of God
All these writings testify to what we can call an anthropological view of the image and likeness of God. As such humanity being part of this creation has a privileged position vis-à-vis the rest of creatures and in relation to God. All these writings which we were dealing with so far do not develop this concept of Imado Day in depth as if leaving it for further exploration. In what force I would like to focus on yet another author from that period of time who offers slightly different perspective on the image of God. Ignatius of Antioch, Ignatius Bishop of Syria is known above all for the seven letters he wrote as prisoner to Rome at the beginning of the second century CE
