Is There a Standard to Astrology?

There's a classical astrology that you might look to as a kind of standard. I wouldn't even know what standard to apply to astrology. Astrology goes quite far back in human history, but it really doesn't go what we would think of as astrology. In Babylonian astrology, it was essentially omen based. And one of the things that the Babylonians were quite concerned about was with their king and so on.
