I think there's two primary things here. The first is an infrastructure that allows the contribution to be made in a way that is sensible, right? And what we need to do is build more skills. We need to know that children in schools are being taught the right kind of computer science or technology. I have concerns that the scale that we've adopted open source at in the last five years means that a lot of people don't really understand what they're doing - and that could cause open source to fail.
