The El Nino Effect on Variability

WMO says there's a two-thirds chance we'll see temporary rise above 1.5 degrees by 2027. But what they were saying is we'll probably see a temporary rise and then it will fall again. The reason for this is that we are in the very early stages of an El Nino event, which tends to bring warmer conditions.
