Tricotillosis or hair pulling is an obsessive compulsive disorder characterized by the urge to pull your own hair. excoriation disorder has the repeated urge to pick one's own skin, often to the extent that damage is caused. All of these can be treated both psychically with a tricyclic anti-depression and basically cognitive behavioral therapy.
