Animal Protein Without an Animal

I was studying global food security at the UN and I I read a headline that said China now consume more than double the amount of the US. There's just not enough land or water on the planet to satiate that kind of appetite for animal protein. 75% of the land used for agriculture today is dedicated to growing animals. It takes over 600 gallons of water to make a dozen eggs or two, you know, over 2,400 liters of water. And there's an insane conversion ratio where you have to grow all these grains and soy to feed these animals who convert plant protein into animal protein.
