Is There a Threat That This Rush for Copper Could Reignite Human Rights Violations?
Next year we'll be commissioning a very large copper mine in peru, which would increase our global copper production by ten %. If we just keep up with growth from here till 20 30, Commission another two or three of those mines to provide our supplies. We know historically there has been human rights abuses across the mining industry. Is there a threat that this rush for these minerals could reignite some of those problems? It is actually happening. So it's absolutely part of the evolving governant structures that companies like ours are putting in place.
