The west is becoming more secularised at an incredibly rapid rate. Ronald Inglehart, who came up with a theory that societies as they become more individual and more less basically wealthier, that they then press into greater secularism. The United States sort of secularisation is like catching up to Sweden, which is interesting in a very short time. A lot of the countries that are actually, so like there's less people in poverty now, they're not necessarily secularising because they've kept the communal element.
