The Pentagon Says the Chinese Balloon Did Not Collect Data in the United States
Pentagon says Chinese balloon that wound up over the US in February did not collect data while it flew over US territory. Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder made comments when he was asked about a Wall Street Journal report that said the balloon contained US made equipment. Beijing has said that the balloon was a civilian weather research device while the Biden administration says it was a surveillance device.
