The Advantages and Disadvantages of Native Apps
Web apps are by default cross platform. When you're developing a native app, you build one version for iOS, one version for Android. That's really two different versions that need to constantly be updated every time you have a new feature. The main downside tends to be that distribution model and the cost of having two different teams.
