Is the Common Nature a Universal?
For Occam, it's like there is no common nature between all the dogs, right? There's like a, there's individual dogs and we have a concept that we find them all together in a certain way. And Skotus believes in divine ideas and Occam doesn't. So to me, that's Occam, this metaphysically reductionistic program, right? To simplify everything was destructive of traditional Catholic tradition.
