The Brahmin did not agree with jacksonian democracy and that's you know that goes back to the conflict between jackson himself and one of the sons of one of the biggest men in massachusetts. That seems almost at odds with things like the 15th amendment and later popular sovereignty ideas which are now closely associated with the late republic. The brahmins were very elitist relative to everybody else for sure was it a good life to be a wasp elite woman um i would say yes but they were less likely to give women rights because they believe they had a dip, he says.
