Goblin Bathhouse Mode

The book is about a man who tries to find enlightenment by trying out different things. He starves himself of everything for years and eventually realizes he has emptied himself of all identity. When no face who has no identity yet is thrown into a bath house, he's going to go in full goblin bathhouse mode. And then the his first thing is, look at this beautiful river. I love this river. I want to trust this river. That's his like big turning point,. Doesn't he end up spending the rest of his life by the river?
