The Positivism of the World
At the beginning of the 20th century and end of the 19th century, we had this philosophical movement called positivism. And they had an ideal, and this ideal wasn't just found in them as sort of every so often recurs, but the thought was, we're going to find a way of making the world not very mysterious. The mysteries in theology seem to stand out like a sore thumb. There just seems like no room for theology. It's kind of overworld.
