Why We Get So Much Sunburn in Australia

The ozone layer is a layer of ozone up at high altitude, 20 to 30 kilometers. We discovered that we were using in refrigerators called CFCs were damaging the ozone. The chemicals tend to have patches in them and they have to go through a process called healing where they sort of join together. I do not know why people burn so much more in Australia than they do in other parts of the world. Please help me on this one to fix up my huge deficit in my knowledge base. Thanks Donovan.
