The first thing to notice is that you will choose your dream destinations quite naturally. Ask a surfer what his dream destination is. He's going to list a specific wave that he wants to surf. For some people, it's interesting to travel across the world. For other people, they don't want to deal with foreign languages or cultures. It's just as valid to say my dream destination is to sit at home in this beautiful place where I live and tour every museum in my city.
