The Theory of the New Testament - What Was Going on in This Period?

Theory will go essentially that gets put out there in the public a lot is, here's jesus. He lives arughly an is early thirties. We have probably somewhere about a 30 to forty, 50 year gap in between the finished text of the gospels and the events surrounding jesus of nazareth. So who knows? Ethnographic studies, just awesome because it's getting us into the shoes of what this early period must've been like.
