The Importance of Philosophy in AI

I do not think we are very good at stepping back, taking a breath and looking at the long term implications of things carefully. We are just short term bumbling into the next cool thing. I bet that is what we are going to do with AI. There should be way more interaction between scientific insights about the world and philosophical insights about theworld. Here's a place where there's a lot of low hanging fruit as far as current contemporary philosophy goes.
