Un profumo is like the perfume or a positive smell. If you don't like un profumo, then you would use the word púza. It's a bad smell. And I suppose that could be an opposite of a negative thing there. Yes, in this context, it sounds very positive but if someone were to say the same thing with a different intonation in a different context, it could also sound negative. But no, that's not the case.
