Is There a Virtual Machine?

On the virtual machine, if you do a floating point divide by zero or an integer divide by zero, you can crash the virtual machine. But because the virtual machine is all done in software, you're not actually crashing something on the hardware level. And so it's much easier to debug. Also, provides portability. So running across different actual processors, you can provide the same interface to your program.
