The Bombay Castle

The main building within the castle used to be the official residence of the governor of Bombay in the 17th century. Jonathan Duncan was the last governor of Bombay to work from out of the castle. The fort had been a site of great power and authority for a long time. It seems idyllic. Young white women, probably wives of soldiers would call their chicken back to their cages in the evening, whistling and offering greens.
